How to....

This is Group 6 resolution to the brief "How to stay safe in Leeds?"

We decided that you are most at risk of the dangers of city life at night time. Alot of students go out drinking/socializing on a daily basis in Leeds so we decided to promote our idea of safety in numbers on objects that people would play with/use on a night out rather than a leaflet during the day which would be forgotten about. We designed beer mats, stickers and sunglasses. They all have the simple message of 'Safety in Numbers'

We had 2 different designs for the front of the beer mats. The first, a girl alone with her head off, a simple message saying that if your alone your more likely to get into trouble.
The second, a big group of boys and girls holding hands being 'safe'.
On the back of the beer mats we put a S,A,F,E on each beer mat spelling out the simple message of being 'SAFE'. Having different designs they have the quality of being a collection item, people like collecting stuff.
We also designed a pair of sunglasses with the logo, design and message. People would play and wear the sunglasses on a night out and therefor take in the message from them.

We also used the main beer mat design with the saftey in numbers logo into a sticker.
Here is a picture of the product in use in a pub in Leeds.
