- Don't Panic Poster -

VOGUE

I was trying to communicate that glamour is dependable on where you are and in deserts and wilderness glamour isn't important.

Here are my 3 posters i put forward

This was the the one that i decided to put forward because the type and image work well together and i thought that people would put this up on their wall if they had the poster.

Original drawing for the trailer in the desert, i later used photoshop to add the colour.

Here are the 30 words i came up with which i related to VOGUE, i then drew simple visuals for each word. I then picked the 5 best words that represented the word VOGUE best.

Evaluation - I enjoyed this brief alot, its nice to do something which could possibly be printed. I was happy with my 3 main designs. Although i found it hard to decide between the marilyn in the clouds and the 'its not here' one. I decided on the 'its not here' because the photograph is really beautiful and looked most appealing. I would improve on this brief by exploring more ideas, but because it was only a week brief i went for quality rather than quantity.

1 What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?

I have developed a further understanding in design programs such as photoshop. I think some of these new skills were applied well to the 100 project which in the items which i used photoshop in had turned very well and i am pleased with the result. I have also developed a better understanding that greater research will help you develop a greater product or resolution.

2. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these? I think my strengths in my work are in the end resolution. I feel that i can make visually appealing products which i are both well thought out and well crafted. I used these strengths to make a well crafted book and poster for the latest product which looked professional. 3 What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully? I feel that through my strengths they create weaknesses which in this case is research, i get to focused on the end product by wanting to make it look professional that i by pass a lot of the research that needs to be done that could make the resolution even better. 4 Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these? Evaluation - I enjoyed this project even though it was very hard work and long. Doing all different patterns on the stormtropper helmets required a lot of patience and even thinking of 100 different was quite difficult. I was not pleased with the final poster mainly because in my final crit i was told that the book and the poster didn't 'link' enough. So i added the numbers on the poster to coincide with the book. But i think this ruined the look of the poster. In my personal opinion the book and poster were obviously linked. I was pleased with the packaging for the poster also, the idea of the lightsaber made it interactive which some one could play with after the product is removed. I think i the pictures of the final packaging and the book dont look professional so i should work on my photography skills, mainly lighting.
