For the image i wanted to make a logo using the outline of a stag. I started to make these with different deer.

I then found a head and antlers that looked really bold but the body didn't work so i traced another body which looked good and placed them together

Antler silhouettes

I imagined the silhouettes of different antlers all lined up would look good as a back ground pattern.

I started to find pictures of antlers that were face on.

Then i started to cut them out.

I thought that more variety would be better so when you look at it repeated it would be hard to tell that its a pattern so i cut out some more.

Here is was it would sort of look like on red background.

One Word

I decided to do a brain storm on what word i should use for the net brief.

I think i have decided on Incredible. This is because they are, they look incredible, they can do incredible things and they have tons of uses.

ideas for box

Some sketches of ideas for the box net. Thinking of different patterns i could use and use of silhouettes of deer and antlers.

Layered and cut

An idea i had was to cut out a shape, most likely an antler shapeThen place it on top of of paper so there is a subtle sort of embossing effect.

i could use this technique on one or all of the nets.

Envelope ideas

I thought the hole in the envelope was a bit dull so i tried some other ideas that could work on the front of the envelope.

I also was thinking about the back of the envelope and how it folds up. In its original form the letter would need glue of a seal to close it. I've always liked the idea of a wax seal on a envelope, although this could prove difficult to do in the few days i have left. But i could research into it for the GOOD project. A simpler version would just be a sticker.

If the seal doesn't work then i looked at other ideas to make the letter a bit more aesthetically pleasing. One of them could be two deer rutting and having the antlers fit together to close the envelope

Net Brief

Printing the nets out i chose 7 which i liked the look of best and made them up.

Then i chose these three because they were all different and made the most appealing shapes. Also i thought they had the most scope for improvement.
