Screen Printed Crate

Here is the finished crate with the screen printed design on. It didn't come out perfectly clear but i think the slightly faded/worn look works with the design of it looking old.

Here are some pictures of me screen printing and the screen i used. The light coming through against the green screen almost makes the design look gold.

After much deliberation about the design for the crate i have decided on this one. The word formulas was added to make it obvious that their are five inside the box rather than just random roman numerals on the side.
I am going to attempt to screen print the design onto the wood.

What to put on the box ?

Some how screen print or burn the design onto the wood. Or have a belly band round the whole thing
or a belly band just on the lid

I photoshopped what these could look like.

I think the plus side of doing it on the paper is that is gives me the opportunity to experiment with embossing

Wooden Crate

So i made my crate with help from the guys in woodwork and i'm very pleased with the result. I decided to make a lid for the box because there was some left over wood and it gave me the option to work with it if i want to.

I wanted to package my Brain Tonic in a old time rustic wooden crate because it will fit well with the approach i am designing the packaging and wooden boxes/crates look amazing (link to design context - wooden boxes )
